Please consider becoming part of the solution in fixing the broken childcare system, instead of contributing to it’s failures.

Both my grandchildren attended this program. I was always impressed by the projects and activities they participated in at RVCC. It will be so sad if they decide to close the children's campus at the college.

To lose child care would be extremely inconvenient returning to post Covid especially.

This is the best childcare option for my family. Everywhere we have looked to replace the care we have received through RVCC will cause my family to experience some type of detriment. Either the availability is very limited (we will be waitlisted at many places because of the age of my children), the curriculum is lacking, or the expense is beyond our means. RVCC childcare was the best and right pick for us from the beginning and my daughter struggled to adjust going there, now she is happy to go and I hate the idea of having to make such a huge change again for her. We must make hard decisions about taking time from work because of these issues becoming one of the statistics on women leaving the workforce because of childcare issues. I hope that RVCC administration reconsiders the closure of this service to the community as it is not just about money but people’s lives that are being affected.

I strongly support keeping the children's campus open. Both of my children attended from the time they were little babies right up through the start of kindergarten. I was never worried about their care and knew they were always in good hands. Upon beginning kindergarten, both of my children started with a solid foundation and were both more than ready socially, emotionally, and academically. I would love to see more children to continue to have this opportunity for early childhood education.

The children’s center was the best thing for my family. We knew that the staff was caring and loved my daughter. Please reconsider keeping the center open. I wouldn’t send my daughter anywhere else.

Both of my children benefitted from attending the Children's Campus. I urge you to find a way to keep open this invaluable service to the college community.

Sending my daughter to the Children's Campus was one of the best decisions I ever made, for her academic and social growth and wellbeing. What a fabulous treasure it is.

The RVCC Children's Campus means so much to my family and to our community. As a faculty member with two children who have attended the Children's Campus, I know my teaching, scholarship, and service would have been impossible without it. Closing the Children's Campus would be a tragedy.
Please keep open for my grandkids. They love it here!
