We love sa tang and the royal Oak pub and Betty and Chris deserve to be able to keep this valuable community spirited business going long term. We need more social and community spaces not a few tiny houses!

This place is part of glossops heritage. It would be a travesty if it were to be demolished and turned in flats or houses

There are a lot of developers getting rich off the back of making life miserable for the many. Enough is enough.

It's criminal to lose a beautiful old building with such history to new houses...an absolute travesty. Once it's gone we can't get it back...please see sense!!

The Royal oak has been part of our community for years. My parents drank in there for a lot of years. We certainly dont need any more houses in our community just so the owners can make money. It has been noticed that the owners has chopped down a number of trees at the side of the pub... Did they have or need permission to do this!! Some trees have a preservation order on them. Did these trees have one!! Needs to be checked. SAVE THE ROYAL OAK from demolition.

No way should this public house be flattened to make way for houses. Betty and Chris are amazing people. Food is delicious at the Royal Oak. Landlords are self centered and don't care about anybodies livelihoods except there own.

The Royal Oak was built in 1881, Hopefully it won't be demolished in 2021. To knock it down is nothing short of criminal damage. I would have thought the owners to have shown a little more integrity and support for their town by letting the manager buy the property. Its greed, pure greed on their part. Money can't buy you happiness. I know Glossop has lost many of its pubs but please lets keep this one. If it cannot survive as a pub, at least restore it to a residential dwelling. Glossop does not need 6 more characterless boxes.

It’s about time. Money was spent on keeping the heritage of glossop. Not over shadowcit with more houses that this already overrun town has.

Surely with a little effort and expertise this pub could thrive. It’s well situated in a catchment area that has enormous potential.
