I'm sure there is good intention to improve the look of the museum. However I think you would be making a great disservice to the city of Philadelphia if you change these original steps. My family and I'm sure tens of thousands of others, if not more, come to Philly every year to walk or run up those iconic steps & for them to be modified would definitely take away from that experience. If you are trying to attract people to come visit Philly this is not the way. In fact I think it will do the opposite. I hope someone in the higher ups actually reads all these comments from this petition & will reconsider these plans.

Philadelphia drew a record number of tourists for the eighth consecutive year in 2017, with 43.3 million visitors traveling to the City of Brotherly Love. 88 percent of those tourists said they came to Philly for to see the Rocky steps – which, of course, comes as no shock to us at all. By destroying this steps, that would ERASE 38 Million visitors!

The reasdon we came to Philly was because of the Rocky movies, I always wanted to walk the steps and Mike Kunda's tour took us to the other locations. We loved the city but if it was not for Rocky we never would have gone there.
