people have travelled across the globe to view these steps including myself! it was bad enough removing the statue from the top of the steps! let alone this!

Not only should the steps stay, but the statue should be placed back right where it belongs on top the platform. Huge Rocky fan cant wait to visit Philly to check out theese iconic attractions.

without the rocky steps they is no rocky. and without rocky well how can people get through there gym session and life its self, rocky made me strong and help me through my army career also my tour of Iraq.

Being a native to the area there is a certain sense of pride to having the “Rocky” steps being a part of your life, they are iconic. Besides them being iconic they bring tourists near & far to our city year round to recreate one of the best movies ever made. It would be foolish for many reasons to take the steps away. Growing up I always loved the movie, but it never meant as much to me until my almost 8 year old son fell in love with the movie Rocky, then 3 years old. Being able to take him over to the city to see the steps in real life & let him run them might have been one of the most memorable parts of his childhood for him & for my husband & I. So many dreams of young & old would be crushed. I for one, have walked/ran them many times & I, still would be crushed if they were no longer there. We made this movie when my son was 3, during his obsession with the film. Without those steps nobody else can create these memories ever again.
