Ridiculous.
1) The proposal would not destroy the steps entirely; merely remove a portion of it.
2) The steps are the Art Museum steps. Rocky ran up them; that doesn't mean they're his.
3) Rocky Balboa's run is immortalized in film. It doesn't need to be immortal in reality.
I have not signed this and encourage you not to sign either.

I know that, for me, Rocky symbolizes everything that I could ever strive to be. I am a runner myself and know that I am not the fastest, but I give it my all, like Rocky. The film inspired me to start running in the first place. These steps symbolize a personal triumph, as Rocky now can run all over the city and has developed his body to his own maximum potential. So, whenever I run those steps, I think of my own accomplishments to get me to where I am today. They are more than just steps. They are a symbol of triumph and should remain so for generations to come.

Save the Rocky Steps!!! Do not change them. I just visited them this weekend with my family. My kids loved it. So many people were there throwing their hands in the air. It means so much to people. Save the Rocky Steps!!!
