Rumors have been swirling of plans to tear down the River Court that has been used as a main filming location for the CW series One Tree Hill for nine years. PR for Warner Brothers said the court would be "removed" after OTH ends. Although filming for One Tree Hill may have ended, the River Court is still an attraction that fans from around the world love to visit, and ultimately bring business and tourism into Wilmington. The River Court may have been built for the use of filming, but if the city adopted it as an actual park, it would surely do well. Not only is it a place that fans of OTH would like to visit, but it's a nice area to view downtown Wilmington and the Cape Fear river for locals, visitors of the Battleship, and beach-goers.

Sign your name and tell us why you want the River Court to stay! Although the show may be over, our visits to the River Court and Wilmington are far from it!

We are approaching one thousand signatures and require this benchmark to secure a formal meeting with the city planning department. Please direct three local residents to sign this petition so we have the necessary leverage to present our proposal for the park transition.
