The equestrian center is the distinguishing feature which sets this development apart from all others. I have met with countless families, from cottage guests to homeowners to local community members, who view a trip to the stable as one of the highlights of a day at The Reserve. Not only is this a potential legal issue for the developer, but a tragic loss for the communities in this area.

Very bad PR for the developer. Sell your clients on amenities and then take them away? It smacks of legal bait and switch. You will seriously diminish the appeal when amenities begin to disappear. Then it becomes just luxury housing no longer deserving of the term resort.

Please do not close the center! My children love visiting and riding the horses when we visit and it will change the life for those people that purchased a home with this in mind.

The equestrian has a unique value to the area and it gives the Reserve a Texan rustic feeling in addition to the acreage homesites.

This is extremely disappointing to our family. My little girl loves this place and so do we. Now there will be nothing special about this community and will look like all the other communities in Austin. The Equestrian center is what made this place so special!! I understand that the developer is just seeing this as a business transaction, but what they don't realize is that people have bought homes here and land for that reason. If McCombs wants to leave a legacy behind his name, then he needs to realize its not always about profit. If the Equestrian center is removed, there will be nothing special about this community that he will leave behind.. Sincerely, The Gomez Family

The Reserve is such a unique and wonderful community based on the amenities they offer! The award winning homes, villas and cabins are just gaining notability and the equestrian center is a huge part of that.
Be aware that not only can the equestrian center be closed without consideration or warning, so can the other key amenities-the gorgeous pool area and the marina!
The Interscholastic Equestrian team offers middle and high school youth the opportunity to develop lifelong skills and earn scholarships. The Reserve team is highly competitive and open to all youth-not just residents of The Reserve.
Please don't close!!!

Part of the advertising of this community has always been their equestrian center. Just look at the billboards on hwy 71 as well as their website currently. Despicable of the developer to remove this unique amenity.

As a realtor in the Lake Travis area I feel the equestrian center is a integral part of that community and would detrimentally effect current owners, members and future marketing of the neighborhood.

This is terrible ....if they do it, they should have to buy any house that has a horse at full market value. Ridiculous!!

The Reserve is a quite beautiful place. Kids and adults enjoy, relax and learn at this beautiful barn.
And it is home to an interscholastic equestrian program for middle and high school kids who learn how to to become part of a team and work hard to to able to compete with some of the best equestrians in the United States! They also have the chance to earn scholarships.
