Affordable drinking in pubs is increasingly beyond many people in the UK, driving people to supermarket booze. Wetherspoons has done so much to keep pub drinking alive, so valuable to local communities and local beer producers. The Regent is a wonderful building and one of Wetherspoons finest. Please don't sell it or allow it to close!

I am from Bexleyheath and visited this pub as part of a cycle ride along the Thames Path last year. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to do it again and it would be a real shame if The Regent was not there to provide us with a great value meal and a selection of real ales. Please keep this pub open :-).

Please keep the Regent going, it is our number one go to place in Walton. Where ever we travel in the uk we always look for the J D Whetherspoon establishment. So consistent in quality of great staff and food and drink.

Closing the Regent would be tragic my 88 year old Dad goes there every Friday myself every other.We meet up with some postman friends and a couple of Irishmen, a gathering we've dubbed the Friday club. Stopping this tradition would be an enormous loss especially for my Dad.

This is the very best and affordable real ale pub in the (wide) area. The loss of this pub would be tragic for real ale lovers who do not want to get 'ripped off' on prices. Please ensure it is not lost!
