One of the best live music venues on the South Coast. I’ve been seeing bands here since 2000. There’s plenty of gyms around as it is. MP’s greed is killing live music

The Pyramids should be kept as a swimming pool to provide somwhere for children to swim during the winter and bad weather. Living so close to the sea it is important for children to learn to swim.

Over 50s aquafit is the only activity my 80+ mother can do, and she needs to access the water via the slope as she is unsteady. This pool is vital for the elderly, disabled and small children, who all need to stay fit in a safe environment.

Raise the prices slightly and open the entire pool! Introduce some more slides or other fun things and more people will visit.

Every Sea Side town should have a swimming pool where children can learn to swim. Also for holiday makers need bad weather facilities. Every weekend it is busy with kids having a good time.

The pyramids is an icon. You need to update the existing facilities into a modern fun pool rather than an ice rink or more trampolines. Fix what you've got!

Its crazy to allow these alterations without plans for a replacement pool and music venue. Yet another lack of forward thinking by PCC.

The reason people don't use the pool is because it is run-down and the changing facilities are dirty and old. If the money was used to renew the swimming and leisure pool facilities it would be popular again!! We don't need more soft play / trampoling in the city!!!

I agree with what has been said. The pool and music venue should stay. It is the best use for the city and pyramids

Please don’t take this venue away. We love it for family days out and evenings out with friends.

Really shocked and saddened to see this proposal. Kids need swimming pools to play adults need live music to stay sane!

I can’t believe this decision to close the pool... and replace with a trampoline provision!! Swimming is a great family inclusive activity for all ages and abilities. Please sign and share this petition

This is the only fun pool for kids and hasn't really been updated in 30 years sure the money would be much better spent refreshing this pool as we have LOADS of soft play in and around Portsmouth but would have to travel way outside to find another pool that would compare. Numbers for the last couple of years should be ignored - the pool was closed for the best part of a year due to flooding and then was hit again this year by covid. People are disappointed the slides are usually not running but are still subtracted by the wave machine. Tickets for the pool are timed so u have to book the. Or wait in a massive queue so when you are in the pool for your slot it is always full sodont understand how numbers are down- you limit them yourself? Also if looked at managing the events area you could put on more ticketed events for artists etc
