The fact the developers acquired the site and earmarked it for flats, without consulting residents or even having planning permission, just adds insult to injury. With more signatures and more people opposing this disgraceful proposal we WILL stop this happening.

this is scandalous to contemplate knocking this famous historic landmark down to build flats and houses when the site of another pub the liverpool arms is lying derelict 2 years after demolition and the massive St wilfrids site also lies empty!

A lot of money has been invested into our area, building new homes and making this a nicer place to live. Losing the Priory would be a massive backwards step! The Priory is a local pub full of history and tradition, where better for all our new neighbours to meet and become part of the community! Save our local and our community!
