we can clean up a whole gulf, a whole nuclear waste site, we can certainly clean up this historic site rather than letting a greedy developer tear up part of our history for "progress".

For better or worse this building and the land it sits on is a part of Portland's History. Save it please and clean up the site.

I cannot drive by that building without being moved with it's beauty. Why is it always easier to destroy than to save. We are a disposable society! This building needs to be saved, and can be if the powers at be open their minds to the possibilities that exist!

I have thought for years it would make an awesome spot for a McMenamin's makeover, they do such a good job in keeping the history of buildings.

Please don't tear down this building. I look forward to seeing it every time I drive by that area. Plus now it's featured in a book so it has even more meaning.

What kind of shape is the building in? How much would it cost to restore it? It is such a gorgeous building!

This building has inspired me since childhood. I had always daydreamed about one day buying it and turning into an art/culinary school and restaurant. Someone please make it happen...

You can't make new vintage architecture if there's a way to save this wonderful building along with the grounds we should do so.

I have admired this building ever since I have been in Portland, since 1995. It should be cleaned and utilized to maintain the historic building and shared with the community.

I have driven by this site for seven years now, I think this is an absolutly beautiful building and it would be a shame if it was demolished.
