My wife has been saying for as long as I've known her (over 20 years) that if we won the lottery she'd want to buy that building and do something with it. Even dilapidated you can see what a classic structure this was.

The building is registered as landmark/historic. It has existed all of this time. Despite NW Naturals comments to teh contrary, it is not a goner by any means. Far more dilapidated and distressed landmarks have been saved and renovated. Portlanders do not support the destruction of our landmarks and history, particularly at the hands of a corporation which is responsible for harming the public health in the past.

That building is one of the rarest Portland has left. it can be fixed up its beautiful, if I had the money, I'd buy it and refurbish it to back to the way is was in its hay day!!

Time and effort should be taken to evaluate this structure and surrounding area before it's demolished and the land is earmarked for something else.
