Portland needs such touchstones with its storied past. It is, even in its current state, a thing of beauty.

So many possibilities.

I would be very sorry to see this building go the way of so many others like it in and around Portland. Even in it's current condition we look forward to driving past it on the way to Sauvie Island or to the coast. It should be saved for us as well as future generations.

This building needs to be saved from demolition. There are too few buildings like this left in Portland. It would be a sad day to see it torn down.
