We should not now down to people that it did not affect so leave it if the county removes it I will not have any confidence in the county that I love and the people that run it we the people put you in office we can take you out

that monument was raised by widows and sons and daughters who lost loved ones on both sides. Its a celebration of there sacrifice and needs to stand just as any other statue or monument

This is part of history and should remain whether to honor ancestors or remind us of where we come from and show us how we should move forward. Removal changes nothing that happened. Leave it!

Our history is apart of who we are. Monuments such as this one were dedicated to the memory of those that fought in the Civil War. Many died and never returned leaving their community and families devestated. This monument is a war memorial that is protected by Georgia state law prohibiting it’s removal, alteration, defacing etc. Only recently have mobs of radicals sought to destroy the heritage that belongs to the people. It’s just as much our right to honor our ancestors as others celebrate theirs.

My Grandparents were from Polk County-Bennie/Ruby Berry-so I figure I have a stake in this and I'm signing in thier memory.
Leave our monuments alone
