This is History for Polk County. It has been there a long time . I worked at the courthouse 36 years and never seen any one take a picture or ask about the Statute. Now it seems to offend someone so take it down or move it, just don't understand this.

Please leave the Polk Country Confederate Monument alone. History is history whether you like it or not. These men enlisted and fought for their state, homes and family. There is no need to “jump on the bandwagon “ and remove this monument just because others have done it. Leave our monuments alone and rest what they truly stand for. Men who fought and died to protect their homeland. I hope you make the right decision to leave it alone.
