According to the CDC, fatal drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury related death behind motor vehicle crashes among children ages 1 -14. In a recent article in the Jacksonville Business Jounal, Mr. Miller indicated that the golf course has value to the community. I would argue that the existence of the pool and the swimming lessons provided by Planet Swim has greater value than a recreational sport. In addition to the lessons, those swimmers who participate on the PSA swim team are learning to strive for physical achievement. PSA promotes fitness in a lifetime activity. Swimmers who are part of a team learn are being taught life lessons of sport and sportsmanship which include learning to deal with winning and losing, as well as working with officials, teammates and coaches. PSA motivates participants to strive for self improvement, teaches goal orientation and lastly they cultivate a positive mental attitude and high self-esteem. Talk about value! There is no comparison. Mr. Miller needs to readjust his priorities and refocus on what the real value to the community is. Save PSA and the Oak Bridge pool!

We are residents of Marsh Landing and our son, Ryder, who was 5 years old at the time, had been in several swim programs before we found Planet Swim. All other programs pale in comparison! The coaches are amazing and he thrived during his time in the program! He learned more from coach Kate in the 8-10 weeks she coached him than in all his previous programs. We recommend Planet Swim to everyone we know who has children. The excellent program, facilities and proximity in Ponte Vedra are all reasons we continue to recommend them. Please keep them as your tenants! It would only benefit you, the program and all the families in the community to update the pool facilities and keep the program intact in Sawgrass -Oaks area.
