I am a Cal Poly Pomona alum. The horses and pastures are part of Kellogg's legacy and a beautiful part of what makes Cal Poly Pomona unique and helps it stand out from the drab steel-and-concrete landscapes that characterize so many other university campuses. Parking and student living are undeniably major concerns, but the solution should not be to demolish the pastures.

Let these horse have what is rightfully theirs. We should acknowledge and respect what little freedom they have left. Students will survive without dorms or parking lots.
