For many years there has been a feral cat colony at the Pascagoula Point. Over the last 4 years a group of animal lovers formed a group called The Friends of the Pascagoula Point Cats to feed and provide medical care and spay/ nueters. We closely monitor the cats watching for new drop offs, new litters, injuries and deaths. The cats are very healthy and well cared for and cause no problems to their enviornment.At this time our City Council wants to trap and remove all the Point Cats because of "Citizens complaints." I am urging you to notify your City Council person to oppose this descision. Many people love these cats and often drive the Point to get a glimpse of them.Most of them were born there and it is the only home they have ever known. They are community cats and are in no way a threat or danger to the Pascagoula Point. Please stand with me and sign this petition oppossing the trapping and removal of these cats!
