Dahlonega City Council Members deny Roberta Green Garrett's appeal for demolition of the Parks Building.

Please do preserve this building. It has significant historical value. The historical construction is what makes Dahlonega so special. Please preserve it,

Don't tear this important historic building down for a new build that will only be unattractive and dated blemish on Main Street in 10-20 years. This is a piece of history Dahlonega can't afford to lose!

Please save this special piece of history in our very special town!

before I mover to Georgia I am from Maryland but would visit Georgia a few times a year to build on our house. Well I would always make a special trip to Dahlonega to visit your town and fell in love with the buildings and house historic it was. the Parks building needs to be saved because its Dahlonega history. If it is torn down and something else is put there it will take away from the original history. your square is a real tourist attraction and you just had a movie made there. Movie makers are always looking for a old town with a lot of history. If the building is torn down , no more movies that would include the town and no more revenue . Why not sell the building and let someone else repair it if she don't want to just a suggestion. Please Keep the Parks building intact.

Save this building like I have saved two of them already in this town.

If any of the council members allow this historic building to be demolished, then I would have to suggest that they are being paid off by the richest woman in town whom has in the past stated her financial ability to tie the city up in lawsuits that would bankrupt it. Time for us all to stand together and not allow those wealthier than us get their way for unjust reasons.

I walk past this building everyday on the way to school. I would hate to see such a unique building that is part of history get demolished.

There has got to be some we can do to preserve this historic place

Save the Parks Building - it's a huge part of Ga. history

The demolition of this building will set a terrible precedent for the town of Dahlonega, the beginning of the end.

Dahlonega is a historic location. The unique history is what draws people to visit us in the mountains. Restoration is really the only option.

I am one that truly believes Mrs. green Garrett needs to Mai twin and repair existing properties before she is allowed to build more. Most of her properties are held together wit rubber bands and duct tape. Would hate to end up with that on the Square. Seems we have enough of it there already. It is never to late to right a wrong.

Hoping the City Council votes to preserve our history!!
