Please please keep this open, this is a massive part of Canveys history, and I for one do it want to see it go. children love it thereX

This had been run by the council for over 30 years maintaining it and not charging anyone. Then when Farmer freds leased it they charged and still got loads of people visiting it. Could the council not take it back and charge entry so that it could be properly secured at night and in the winter?

Seems such a shame in Essex that everything closed due to lack of money! We visited the paddocks every week in the school holidays it's a safe place for our children to play as there isn't any where else like this to go!

My nephew loved this place! Such a shame because the only people being punished in this scenario is the children and their guardians/parents not the vandals.

why take away the things that children need in there life which is a normal life , without this there will be nothing left for the children to do in the summer.

the council should remember that the paddocks land was left to the people of Canvey for their leisure so dont even think about building on it
