The council has officially reversed their decision and committed the necessary funds to keep our paddock area open for the children. Seeing 1,194 people come together to protect this space confirms how much this local treasure means to our community. I intend to keep a close watch on the site …
The momentum behind this petition is steady and reflects how much this space means to our community. Reaching one hundred signatures will provide a much stronger foundation when we present our concerns to the council. Please consider sending this link to a few neighbors who value our local play area.

I took my grandsons there last summer and was looking forward to going so this year.
I am at home all day with nothing to do, so I would love to get involved helping getting this project back together again. KEEP IT GOING>

There is a shortage of things for youngsters of all ages to do. We cannot lose another facility for our children. It has been a mian stay of the summer holidays for many years, a meeting place for families and friends and should be saved for the benefit of future families.

This is a great activity for local people to take their kids to. It would be an awful shame if we were to lose it. Maybe the cost per child could increase to help cover some of the costs. I would be more than happy to pay at least £5 per child.

Please help to keep this lovely play area open its so safe for toddlers. I come in from Southend on the bus just to go there but always visit the Canvey shops and local businesses while I'm there without this play area myself and others would have no reason to come to Canvey

Bloody disgraceful, the Council should be doing more to keep it open, advertising this little treasure to people outside the borough to bring in more revenue and turning it into a profit instead of a loss, it's not rocket science CPBC

I grew up going to the paddocks like many children. It's not right to tear it down and give small children nowhere to be safe and play on canvey anymore. You could build anywhere else but why make kids suffer for it in the future?
