The farmer's market is an integral part of the community: provides healthy food, and community connection, and it would be devastating and unnecessary to see it go for parking.
Please keep it and find another solution for parking.

It would be heartbreaking if this wonderful neighborhood event was cancelled or altered. We go every week with our one year old and love it, the community it fosters, and the vendors.

This market is such an important part of our community. My partner and I attend every Sunday and would be devastated to see it go.

I live close by to the Outer Sunset Farmers market and it has been a joy to attend most Sundays and support local businesses. This is a gem of the Outer Sunset and it would be a loss to the community if it were shut down.

This market is a safe place for families, older residents, and everyone in between. It has been a way for us to come together safely during covid and has provided memories and great produce and locally crafted goods for me and my family. It is imperative that we keep events like this going to preserve the culture of this city!

I am writing to voice my support for the Outer Sunset Farmers Market & Mercantile (OSFMM) held every Sunday on 37th Avenue between Ortega and Quintara Streets. I first learned of OSFMM a few months into the pandemic and instantly fell in love with how they brought people together during a time when we all felt the great loss of community. OSFMM provided a venue for safe, healthy, and fun gathering. I visit the market every Sunday and love visiting with and supporting the regular vendors and farmers. I even purchase all of my birthday, Christmas, and miscellaneous gifts at the market. I always come away from OSFMM with a great sense of pride for the Outer Sunset community, and always felt it reflected favorably on the city of San Francisco that they supported such an important community event. It seemed to embody the spirit of inclusiveness of this city. I would feel such a great loss if this market is not allowed to continue.

The Farmers Market on 37th and the creative use of that space is one of the bright spots that have emerged from Covid. My family goes every Sunday to meet friends, support local farmers and businesses, and enjoy good food all while being carless. I've lived in the Sunset 20 years and I've never seen our neighborhood come together like this so consistently. We're starting to feel like a community.
Families of SI can take public transportation, Uber, or partner with AP on parking for their events. It seems a shame to close down a well used community space for the convenience of a few, especially when there are so many alternatives.
