I’ve been a resident of the sunset district for 36 years. When the pandemic hit it was a challenging time for everyone. The OSFMM was a much needed way to bring our community together. My wife and I would go every Sunday to support local vendors and just enjoy being in the company of friends, family and neighbors. I’ve ran into old high school friends, relatives and students (I’m an elementary school teacher) at the market. It would be a shame if the OSFMM was unable to continue to be an event that the community of the sunset and greater San Francisco area since it’s been such a positive impact on our neighborhood.

The Market has been a wonderful addition to the neighborhood that adds vitality and brings our community together. It is vital not only to the community who rely on this resource for their food and other goods, but also for the farmers, merchants, musicians, and other participants. One entity’s desire for the space should NOT supersede the needs of the community at large and those who serve us. Please renew the Shared Space permit and keep our beloved Marker running.

I love this place! Food, Groceries, Drinks, Merchandise, & House Necessities! Keeping people from having to drive across town to get their items. People walking and riding bikes, staying outdoors and being friendly is always a plus for humanity =)

The farmers market is one of the best things to happen in the neighborhood! I’d hate to see it go because a private school doesn’t want to “share”.

Great market, definitely very clear pedestrian paths to access other venues in the area. Hoping to see this option continue for our neighborhood into the future.

The market is a key part of our community! Without it the sunset is given the short end of the stick- again! It’s so joyful to browse, shop, and listen to live music in that space. As an outdoor educator I know the value of community spaces, especially ones that are outdoors and accessible! By closing streets or shortening the area that we would be able to have the market we would be ending this wonderful tradition we’ve created. I hope SI sees sense here and can embrace the community that we’ve built.

This is the closet farmers market in the whole area. If it were to be removed that would be detrimental to us as there is no local market would have available tp us anymore.
