This pool has always been a vital part of our town. It allowed children of all ages and also adults the opportunity to learn how to swim in an affordable pool. We live in a flood prone area and our children do not have access to lessons until they are in middle school. That is unacceptable. Restore this pool and restore summers of healthy outdoor fun, and let them learn how to swim once again!!!!

The outdoor pool is in investment in our youth. If we fail to support fun and play in children, then we will find ourselves with much worse financial woes down the road. Those who sit on the council, that pool existed through your youth, are you so far removed from that place in your life that your spirit has forgotten the feeling of jumping aimlessly into the air, whole body hitting the water, arms flailing their way to the surface, finding the faces of friends, saying lets do it again. Let us do it again...all of us. Let us open the outdoor pool for those who currently follow us, but will one day be our leaders. I promise, you will want them to be of fun hearts and soft spirits. They will someday make decisions on things like long term care funding, prescription funding, etc...do you want them to think it doesn't matter in their lives, so it doesn't matter at all?
