I don't understand why Orem is removing the shooting range. why not put it down stairs where the old track is. It is all earth backed and I would think most of the build out is done. we will have no public, only privately owned ranges and the price will go up. How many of us scouts got our respect for and training with Guns. Orem rec. Please find away to put in in the plans

Don't close this range. It is the most affordable and controlled gun range in Utah County that I know of. It offers a huge value to the community.

The reasons for this closure are ridiculous. Keep this open for our use. It has been here for years without any incidents and/or problems from being close to a school. The name of the game is education ~ safety and protectionl. Keep this open for our used!

Save the range! Many countless youth have earned their hunter safety there. Many in the future will need to also. It is the best range with the best value for the money. The private business ranges in the city are too expensive and not kid friendly. Please do the right thing!

The only and best indoor shooting range around which is totally kid and family friendly, as well as affordable. This is my #1 go-to to teach and enjoy marksmanship. Having a respectable community facility to provide training and safe practices is the first step in reducing gun violence, reducing public fear from ignorance of facts and ultimately preserving THE MOST IMPORTANT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT, which in turn preserves our ability to maintain the remainder of the constitution and all freedoms we enjoy. Please do not ruin this from your own fears, political correctness, media distortions of gun uses, or personal opinion or agendas. The real question should be, How can we expand, improve and better advertise to make use of this amenity? I personally travel out of my way to use the Orem Fitness Center specifically because it has the gun range, to support your facility whether I use the range every visit or not. No range = No reason for me to go out of my way, Nothing special to set you apart for the heart of a freedom loving Patriotic American.

This range is a community asset. Not only does it need to be saved, it needs to be expanded to handle action shooting as well.

When we first moved to Orem this was the only place that you could go to shoot without driving an hour to get to a range. The fact that the price is low enough for youth and adults alike to be able to afford to visit makes it one of the best places to go shooting. I hear that because business has opened various shooting ranges it is no longer needed. That is bunk, they charge not just double but more than quadruple the cost for the same time, and are not youth friendly. This is one of the few places that anyone can come to shoot on a daily basis and not empty their wallets to do so. The fact that no discussion on its removal smacks of hidden agenda's to reduce our 2nd amendment rights to use public facilities.
