Seeing this momentum grow has been exhausting but it proves that many of you still care about keeping this space open. I am tired of fighting City Hall over these facilities yet I am not going to turn away now that people are finally listening.

The reasons for this closure are ridiculous. Keep this open for our use. It has been here for years without any incidents and/or problems from being close to a school. The name of the game is education ~ safety and protectionl. Keep this open for our used!
Save the range! Many countless youth have earned their hunter safety there. Many in the future will need to also. It is the best range with the best value for the money. The private business ranges in the city are too expensive and not kid friendly. Please do the right thing!
When we first moved to Orem this was the only place that you could go to shoot without driving an hour to get to a range. The fact that the price is low enough for youth and adults alike to be able to afford to visit makes it one of the best places to go shooting. I hear that because business has opened various shooting ranges it is no longer needed. That is bunk, they charge not just double but more than quadruple the cost for the same time, and are not youth friendly. This is one of the few places that anyone can come to shoot on a daily basis and not empty their wallets to do so. The fact that no discussion on its removal smacks of hidden agenda's to reduce our 2nd amendment rights to use public facilities.
Why was there no vote on keeping it in the first place? Or at least nothing I heard about.
Scout groups from around the valley come to use this gun range. it is affordable and very convenient . Certainly there are enough gun owners in Orem and Utah valley who want the chance to learn to shoot safely and well.

I don't understand why Orem is removing the shooting range. why not put it down stairs where the old track is. It is all earth backed and I would think most of the build out is done. we will have no public, only privately owned ranges and the price will go up. How many of us scouts got our respect for and training with Guns. Orem rec. Please find away to put in in the plans
