Save the tree. We don't have time to see another one grow this big.

My grandparents lived in 1526 Glenwood and I played on and under that tree. Mature trees give shade and put oxygen in air. They also remove CO2 and put O2 back in air. Five Points and surrounding area is known for its wonderful tree canopy.

Raleigh has already lost so much of its character over the past decade. It's got to stop. Save the trees especially this beautiful one.

It is easy to cut trees down to build. It takes real ingenuity and innovation to integrate builds into an existing environment.

Protecting the tree requires a large, undisturbed area around the tree. Hope it will be saved.

These trees define our area. They protect us, shade us, help us breathe and are so beautiful. Please find a way to preserve our old trees

It's ridiculous how developers are just clear cutting lots these days. Houses and apartment buildings are just being thrown up with no regard to trees at all.

Keeping our current trees is critical to keeping the City of Raleigh an advocate for environmental preservation and a drstination city in North Carolina.

You are indeed right and it looks perfectly healthy.. Unless you get it certified by an arborist as an historical speciman I doubt this petition will be successful as I tried on the lot next to us that was clear cut a few years ago. VERY sad so I truly hope you are successful.
