It is our past that paved the way to our present Our history that has gotten us this far but importantly the sacred sacrifice of the people who lived around this time that has gotten us the freedom we have for. They made a stand and stood for something, that something was our future.

It commemorates who we are as a nation, Samoa. It is a part of our remembrance of historic times ... it is our cultural heritage, due to its artistic, historical, and its political phenomenal.
