Save The Old Apia Court House!

It would be sad&stupid of current leaders if they get rid of the building where all things began for Samoa & those that fought for us to be Independent

Totally agree. The now historical building should be preserved. The building is a monumental milestone and has a signifcant importance now and is to remember the time of resistance against colonial rule. Please preserve for the sake of future generations. If Robert Louis Stevens home can be preserved and turned into a museum, why not the old court house. Respectfully, the old court house building in my opinion has more significance to Samoa's history than RLS; a 44 yr old who died in Samoa only lived in Samoa for 4 yrs and became a famous writer. The MAU Movement was a paradigm shift movement in time for many Samoans and those brave enough died challening to fight to hold on and maintain, save our Samoa heritage, culture, customs, traditions from colonial rule.

Heritage buildings are crucial parts of culture and identity....Samoa has led the way on fale and indigenous architecture from precolonial era....why get rid of this court house that is so essential to understanding the more recent past?

Re member this old building growing up. Why destroy sometimes that has our story and the beginning of the changes of Samoa.Starting of our Independence. Restore it to its glory!.It stood danger of rough times and weather. I stand with those that want to save our History with this building..
