This has been here my whole life. I was going here before it became open to the public!!! It is sad that 2 people lost their lives. But this should not be shut down. People have to respect water no matter where it is at.. I really hope this stays open. Don't let a few people ruin this for everyone!!! As I said its sad people died. But let's face it we are not promised tomorrow. People pass away everyday because of 1 thing or another. Again we have to take responsibility an respect nature... Stop blaming others an taking away from others that want to reserve what we grew up with

We have had 3 people die at the Grand Canyon in the last two weeks. You can't shut down the Grand Canyon for a few stupid people or this place either. People can get hurt anywhere, usually doing something not too smart.

I have never been, but shutting it down is not the answer and neither is government regulations. The Meremac river valley is open and running. There have been plenty of drownings there, but it's still open. Enough for silly lawsuits. If you signed the waivers, take responsibility for you and your parties actions.

Our son drowned 14 years ago at a popular swimming place. We didn't blame the city or anyone else. Accidents happen. Everyone shouldn't have to pay for someone else's tragic mistakes.

I have scuba dived there in the 70’s and 80’s it is a great place and needs to stay open.
