I have had friends visit the Offsets for years with no accidents. Keep it open and people can choose to visit or not.

I have never been there but some of my family has and love it. I feel that people are responsible for themselves and if they get drunk and drown they aren't using very good judgement.

I have never been, but I am a see it to believe it kind of person, I have heard it's a beautiful place. Accidents happen everyday and I don't believe a place should shut down based on petty opinions of people who weren't there.

People can drown at any place people swim. I've been here numerous times and never had a problem. No more dangerous than going to swim at Castlewood park, Rockford Beach, Fugitive beach, etc... We going to ban swimming next?

I have so many great family memories there. I want to be able to keep passing on this amazing place to my younger family members and friends. You can get hurt anywhere lol Luckily I was raised right to not push the boundaries between safe activity and danger.
It was always exciting to pack and head there, being in the outdoors and not on my butt going brainless playing video games. Places like this are a rare pleasure to enjoy and cool off.
Should float trips be illegal? Roap swinging into the water? Undercurrents? Lol Keep the legend alive for generations to come.

A unique place to dive. I have enjoyed diving there for many years. This recreation area brings tourist $$$ to Missouri.
