I echo the comments made by a previous poster. This is such an institution. It would be tragic to be replaced or torn down. Please rethink possible options.

Two word: Fiscal. Responsibility. If Mr. Finnegan will pay for the wall on his property, why would the town even consider using taxpayer money to produce a similar project?

As a Perryville native, the Ocean Mist has been a staple in my life and the lives of those around from--old and young--for as long as I can remember. South Kingstown can be an extremely isolated place as far as cross-cultural experience are concerned and the O-Mist brings life, love and energy into a town that desperately needs it. Please consider the negative cultural impact that destroying the mist would cause for the shortsighted goal of aesthetics and google 'negative externalities.'
