As a journalism major at URI I've seen this kind of story before, towns putting money into unnecessary projects, the bigger picture is that it's a bad idea, bad for business, bad for revenue, and bad for tax payer's money.

This bar is one of the best things in Rhode Island, taking it down would be disastrous and disappointing. This place is a vacation destination, destroying it would ruin business and tourism in the area as well as deliver an awful blow to the hearts and minds of the local populace and those who love this establishment.
