My husband & I have fond memories as a couple. Now that we have a family, we a building family memories at the Ocean Mist! It's where my cousin first met her husband. It's not just a bar. It's where families can go enjoy lunch, watch the surfers, admire Block Island and build memories!

In a town were bars and restaurant come and go and the constant flow of tourist cause a small town to keep pace with the ever expanding times, it is essential that there be an anchor and staple in the community. The Ocean Mist is not only there in the Summer when Rhode Island becomes a tourist vacation dream, but stands firm in the biting winters and fall with workers of all types, community pillars and locals who have frequented to spot for decades. The oceanmist provide a avenue for dancing, singing, music, serene views and late night talks barely heard above the constant roll of the tides. To take away the Ocean Mist would not only be a disservice to those who frequent the Mist but also to those who have yet to experience the joys and times it provides.

Beautiful/ Historic/Meeting place.
A wall further outward will create a tombolo and expand the size of the beach much more effectively than a seawall close to shore.
