I was a regular there when I lived in Palo Alto. There are so few places like it now.

I’ve always said, if the Nuthouse is gone, I’m gone and I’m not ready to leave Palo Alto. Cheers!

The Nut is a Palo Alto institution and should be designated as a historic landmark. Please save the best of a Palo Alto that sadly no longer exists.

This bar is a shining beacon in a sea of over- privileged suburban conformity. This is the bar that you greatly respect even though it stole your girlfriend while you were in the bathroom too long. Leave your children and peanut allergies at home for you will not need them here. It must be saved for future generations of people who desire to sit, drink, and complain under one roof. Save the Nut!

I grew up in Palo Alto and moved back there for work a few times and LOVE going to the Nuthouse whenever I can. It is so unique in the way people mix and hang out and I LOVE the veggie burritos there. Please keep it open however you can!!!

This place is like a home away from home when you need it, or even when you don't. This place; its bartenders and its patrons are family. I've never felt so welcomed and so immediately loved at any other place before. The Nuthouse is just SPECIAL. Please don't let it go away...

Save one of the last dive bars in Palo Alto! It’s a gem and there is no replacement for it!

Palo Alto has almost none of these low key, beer and pool, places left. Save it please.
