Northern Berks is very needed in leesport and ontelaunee. The officers are only minutes away when called. How can dissolving the force even be a consideration? Keep Them In Place!!!!

I drive route 61 twice a week. I can’t imagine not being able to have police accessible to assist if there is a need. About 3 years ago I had a medical emergency sadly while driving. Helpful citizens assisted since sadly I was driving northbound in the southbound lanes. I did NOT come to a stop until an officer was involved. They have training to assist in emergency situations whereas the average joe does not. Thanks to them I stopped my car prior to crashing into anyone or anything. They got me the paramedics I needed to assist me. I can not imagine how all this could have played out if not for the wonderful people who helped me that day! I think of them often.
