This must be stopped - stop large corporations from bullying legal compliant companies that add to Austin's culture. Shame on you Starwood Hotels and your Westin brand. This is a foolish move you will regret.

The lawsuit by the Westin Austin Downtown is another great example of corporate bullying.
Austin has been the "Live Music Capital of the World" for quite some time. 6th Street and all the bars and nightclubs are the reason people flock to Austin. Not to stay in a poorly constructed hotel that is trying to ruin what makes Austin, Austin.
I sure hope that JD Dunn, Stephen Condon and the Nook win this frivolous lawsuit.

I got the pleasure opening The Nook Amphitheater with a amazing staff that was like family and owners who were amazing to work for! This place was once my home and is a wonderful place to be on 6th! I love to visit it when I come back to Austin. That hotel should of known better and knew the situation they were getting their selves into. Its so stupid of them to try and pick on The Nook! I hope nothing but the best for The Nook Amphitheater !!! Xoxo ❤

Very upsetting to hear the news about the Westin hotel suing a locally owned music venue on 6th street. Music is what makes Austin the music capital of the world!

Austin needs to stand behind it's small businesses who are being pushed around by corporate greed. The Westin had plenty of time in the planning process to research what measures they should have taken during construction. It is not the fault or The Book that they built a hotel in the middle of a cultural area known for loud music. The Westin needs to take responsibility for their own actions.

Don't build downtown and then complain. The Westin chose to be close to Austin's entertainment district. Live with it or leave. AUSTIN WON'T MISS THE HOTEL but we will miss the music.
