Braves! What is so wrong about that? A warrior that protected their families and community. This has no negativity about it. Please consider all of the positivity surrounding the braves, the history of it, what it stood for and what it still stands for. Braves are a part of our cultural history that should not be erased. Redskins is one thing that’s derogatory for sure. Braves- is not the same Thing don’t lump it in with the nfl issue- which the nfl many negative issues going on. Keep the name it’s part of the history and gives a feeling of community, strength and pride.

I can't believe the school board is caving to pressure to remove it when it's not degrading at all.

“Braves” is a symbol of the undeniable Bravery our Native Indians have. I don’t know why you would find that offensive.

The name Braves does not have a negative or racist connotation like the word Redskin. It is meant to honor the spirit of the Native American people as worthy adversaries. To get rid of the name would be a big mistake.
