Proud '87 Napa Indian! Leave it alone...it was not offensive when it became the mascot. Armijo fought to keep their mascot, we should too. The few voices that want to get rid of our Indian should not outweigh the voices of those that want to keep it.

Please leave the Indians alone. It was a compliment to name your mascot after brave strong people. Our society has become hypersensitive about all the wrong things.

This old school deserves to keep its old Values ! Do you want to also change the Flag ? THE CONSTITUTION ? How about the 10 COMMANDMENTS ? Are these out of Fashion ???

We need to listen to the majority on some things. Especially when in reality no one is getting hurt. Who I see proposing the removal of the mascot seems to be non-Native Americans saying they are speaking out for the Native Americans. They do have their right to free speech, however are they really representing the Native Americans or are they representing their own selfish desire. The School board needs to solicit comment from the Native Americans in the Napa area, to get a real representation of the issue.

Fight this! Don't change it! I for one have felt honor with our symbol, have held a deep respect for it. The name Napa itself was derived from an Indian word, it's fitting the symbol refers to the same. Napa High INDIAN class of 87
