Keep Napa High's mascot the way it is. I am Native American and I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact, it's a compliment. It's also a Napa tradition.

My parents graduated from Napa High and I am a Class of 84. The Indian mascot has always been held by all I know with the greatest of respect and honor as we are Napa High Indians! Anyone who claims this mascot is disrespectful have no clue what they are talking about!!

I am proud to have attended Napa High, and to be a Napa High Indian. Now Indians seem like mean and selfish people. You would think they would want people to be proud of Native Americans and have Indians as a mascot.

I am a 9th generation native Napan. Thus, my family has gone to Napa High since its inception and lived in the area WAAAAYYYY before then. I am a member of the Class of 1984. I believe the cost to change this FAR exceeds the value.
Even the name Napa is an Indian word. Most of the Napa schools had great warriors as mascots (Indians, Warriors, Braves, Dons, Rebels).
Do you plan to remove all of those to? (Yes, I know Ridgeview was closed in 1981).
Even if they decide to change it, I will ALWAYS be a proud Napa INDIAN!

Our personal Johnson Family History beginning with my Dad, Ken Johnson, Napa High Indian football, basketball , baseball coach, teacher, asst. principal, dean of boys, our three boys , my brother and me.... are all Napa High Indians blue and gold...we were all taught from the earliest time, total respect and dignity of The Indian. We were highly honored in every way to be called Napa High School INDIANS and we carried all the traditions with us wherever we traveled.... When someone asked us who we represented , we all said Napa High School Indians
