I graduated in 1964, and I oppose any idea of removing the Indian Mascot. I feel It was always our way of honoring the Indians and was proud to it. How could you even think of changing it after 120 years. Clearly this new idea comes from people that don't (obviously) feel the value of the Indian mascot that all of us had. Many of the past Napa High School graduates feel strongly against this ridiculous issue, don't you have anything better to do? I agree, Once an Indian always an Indian. Who on the board started this issue? and did this person grow up in Napa?

It doesn't make sense that we will As Americans not come together and save their land as in what's happening at the dapl in Dakota but we will worry about offending with a name and an mascot. I have Chippewa Indian In Me I also attended Napa High I say unless there are people feeling honestly offended in the Napa area about the name and mascot that are INDIAN leave the treasured icon where it has been.

I am a 1977 graduate of Napa High School. I have a t-shirt that I wore, my children wore, and now my granddaughter wears! I am very proud to be an "Indian" ! I have lived in Oklahoma for the last 35 years. My mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins and grand parents all graduated from Napa High as proud "Indians", please save the tradition! Thank you Mary A. Westbrook, nee Lowe.

Just asking--what is the "Wappo" Room named after????? Seems it might offend someone......What will be "gender neutral and non-offensive " -- an Amoeba?
