Napa High School Indians have served this Valley for well over 100 years. The integrity, service and tradition is proudly and respectfully displayed in it's mascot. I am just one of many family members, over multiple generations who represent NHS. ONCE AN INDIAN, ALWAYS AN INDIAN!

As a class of '70 graduate, I am PROUD to be an Indian. This name is in NO way derogatory. The local Wappo indians have 10,000 years of ancestry here. Napa actually got it's name (land of plenty) from the Wappo language. Napa High School has always been the home of the Indians and always should be. Shame on anyone trying to change that proud history!

Being chosen as a school mascot should be considered an honor. As seen with Justin-Sienna, the Wappo tribe seems to agree. As the former custodians of this beautiful valley its only natural we would want to honor them in this fashion
