Try for once to act civil. This is a great venue for your area and your trying to reduce it to ashes.

The Museum is a great way to help educate our youth on the contributions and sacrifices of the American Soldier. Please reroute your road as saving and sharing our history is more important!

This museum is one of the best I've visited. The vehicles are awesome and actually run, and perform during the living history weekend.
Running a road through the property will take away from the museum's ability to showcase it's vehicles during history weekends

I have been to the museum and as a resident and former veteran I really feel that the museum gives much needed historical military value to the community. I have seen some of the great programs they have and exceptional outdoor activities. Please reconsider any action that may hider the operations of the museum, I think that it is important to keep these pillars of the community here. Thank you for your consideration.

Ask yourself two questions:
1) Where can you go to see "living history"? Most museums if they have military vehicles are hollow shells. At this museum they are fully operational and you can see them move and fire, hear their engines, witness history come alive alongside living historians!
2) If you live in College Station and have family/friends come into town, where can you take them? There are obviously good things in the area but the list of attractions is relativity short if you're honest. This museum is a local treasure that offers things you can't experience anywhere else in the United States.

It would do a great disservice to the local community and the military veterans whose memory is being preserved and presented for the benifit of the general public if this plan goes through. Not only would the mission of the museum be hindered, but the countless hours that went into the museum would all become next to worthless.
I agree whole heartedly that preservation is a key to preserving history for future generations. What is lost can't be regained again.

The museum grounds are important to the state of Texas and the city of College Station. Nowhere else is there a facility like the Museum of the American GI.
