I don't have the MAP Grant, but many of my friends do. Allow them to be educated. Please. Fight FOR education, not against it.

I am paying for college by myself, so receiving the MAP Grant is very important to me because I am trying to limit the amount of debt I obtain as much as possible. With the cost of college already at an all-time high, taking away the MAP grant would be detrimental to the future of many college students in Illinois, who are already struggling to pay their bills with the assistance of the MAP Grant.

I am a receiver of the MAP grant and it has allowed me to go to college. Without it, I would have been unable to attend college.

Without this grant it would be near impossible to afford college. I have 2 sisters also in college right now and my family relies on this

Our students are our leaders of tomorrow. If we do not invest in their future now, they will not be as prepared when it is their turn. Let's make that investment and provide the funds that our Illinois students need to get a college education.

Without the MAP grant many students will not be able to pay for college. I already work 25+ hours a week in order to pay for it now and I don't know how I will be able to pay even more.

I am a homeless student putting myself through school. Without the map grant I would be forced to drop out. I'm trying to better myself, and without help I will never be able to make it. Keep the map grant alive! There are too many stories like mine.
