I would love to see the Historic building, of which I'm told is structurally sound, be put to good use for thee sake of the community. It would make a lovely community center, office space, museum, Town Hall, lots of good uses for this grand old structure that sits in beautiful historic surroundings. Lots of room for growth and parking already in place.

The school served the community near where I grew up! I attended kindergarten there in 1969.

Do not demolish this historic building. The MH Schoolhouse is one of the few parts of the neighborhood that make it historic. It would be a tragedy for the historic district and the entire town of EH if it is taken down.

The Middle Haddam School is a lovely building that can be re-used for a shop, a library, a used book store (we really need more of these) even a few apartments. There are so many things that this lovely building can house.

I was one of the last kindergarten classes to attend the Middle Haddam School. Please this old building should be restored. The town could use it as their police dept or some other community use. Its always a shame when ole building are not given the live and respect they earned.

East Hampton is a small town made up of a long history of small town values. That is what draws people to the town. This building has been ignored for far too long. Please preserve this building for the sake of the community.

The Middle Haddam School building is structurally sound, historically and architecturally significant, free of hazardous materials, with an excellent water source, and is a perfect candidate for adaptive re-use. Encourage the town to take on this exciting and feasible project so that the schoolhouse can once again serve the community.

My heart breaks at the thought of this building being destroyed. It is a part of our history and I was one of the many who attended this school. I have such fond memories and Schoolhouse Lane wouldn't BE Schoolhouse Lane without it.
