We are so upset and beside ourselves that this AMAZING restaurant is being EVICTED… Because basically that IS what is going on here, and it is beyond RUDE and DISGUSTING. Additionally, being a business owner myself, it sends a cold chill down my spine, as to how these business owners are being treated!! Our family are frequent downtown diners and I can ASSURE you that I will NOT step one foot in the 956th basic BBQ restaurant that is on EVERY SINGLE corner of this small town. Likewise, when one thinks about going downtown to eat, TRUST ME, we are not looking for a BBQ joint. Furthermore, do you REEEEALLY think that the people of Ocala are going to kill themselves to find a parking spot to eat at a basic BBQ establishment. Believe me, I have talked to an enormous number of people and I can assure you that my feelings are shared by this entire town. Ocala is a small community and we don't have that much in the way of fine dining OR unusual places to eat as it stands right now... So this makes this situation even MORE UPSETTING to this ENTIRE community... In case you haven't noticed, I have a very loud mouth and I want to make this very CLEAR: I have and I WILL continue to do everything in my power to make sure that EVERYONE in this town is fully AWARE of the despicable treatment that has been given to the Melting Pot's precious business owners!! Furthermore, if this ridiculousness pans out and we are subjected, to yet again, another BBQ joint, I will do my due diligence to to buy gift cards in an exact amount that one could purchace a meal and I will pass them out to the downtown homeless people so they can walk in and have a nice dinner... That will save me from having to drive to and from McDonald's or Burger King like I do now, and trust me I will be encouraging everyone I come in contact with to do the very same thing!! Pleeeeeease come to your senses and do the honorable and wise thing and renew the Melting Pot's lease... I sure hope that the new leaseholders are

I love this place!! My friends took me there for the 1st time 3 years ago and since then it has been the place me and my husband go for birthdays, anniversaries, and or just to get away!!!

I think it should not be up to the owner of the building. If a tenant can pay the rent then they should be able to stay as long as they maintain the property. Ocala does not need another bar b que place.

I believe the Melting Pot has become a staple in this community. Downtown Ocala would not be the same without it. I pray the owners of the building will reconsider.

The Melting Pot is such a wonderful place.. The atmosphere is irreplaceable. I hope the owner has a change of heart. Maybe we all should eat there more and show more support for this business..

Will not support the new not needed or wanted BBQ restaurant. Melting Pot means too much to me to support a person that is nothing but greedy. God don't like ugly.
