Save the Manatees! Remove the Lock.

In addition to the manatee issue, I can also add as a licensed Mater Captain that passage through the lock at certain times is extremely dangerous to vessels and passengers. Let's get it removed before someone is seriously injured or worse killed.

Please save the Manatees and help the safety of the boaters! I live on the 10th floor and I see the boats trying to go through the lock with a struggle and danger.

This lock is so dangerous. I have seen numerous situations where people get hurt in the lock and also waiting for the lock to open. Our boat has been hit in the lock.

It is absolutely ludicrous to keep the lock causing harm to such innocent and beautiful creatures. I can't imagine any environmentalist in their right mind who would object to this idea!! Why is this even up for debate?
