Save the Mahogany Trees at the Honokaʻa County Park

Please don’t remove those iconic trees.

Preserve our aina and Hawaii beauty. Also like the shade they provide.

Please save the trees and honor the requests of the community to modify the proposal/scope of work.

Please stop cutting down the trees in our beautiful parks and aina. This is a very disturbing trend on the island, not sure why or what's going on but it needs to stop. Better land management is essential!

There's got to be a better way than cutting down iconic and much-needed shade trees, just for a parking lot. Listen to the people who live there and use the park - their priorities should be considered.

Unless the trees are absolutely diseased or are rot ridden, and are gonna fall and kill somebody, you need to leave old Trees alone

It’s inconceivable to cut down 36 shade trees due to a few causing issues in the parking lots.

Please save these trees! They are a vital part of what makes this place beautiful, comfortable and inviting to the community! I think taking the few down that need to go and perhaps adding another smaller parking lot. When the shade of the canopy goes, so will many of the people. Remember, the Life of the Land is Preserved in Righteousness!

Eradication of all trees is not a thoughtful solution

The trees are beautiful & functional & need to be protected.

In the middle of this big Pacific Ocean & trees on the windy side of big island, REALLY, WHY CUT THEM DOWN. Just trim them so they don't fall. Call Arborist Services LLC for a local to analyze these u'i trees.
