In case you haven't heard, the rug is about to be pulled. The Magic Carpet, one of only two World Music programmes which is broadcast on RTE Lyric FM is to be axed at the end of this month - unless... you can make your feelings known about choice of listening and your right as a taxpayer to have a say in RTE programming decisions. Please consider signing the petition as worded below;
"We want the Magic Carpet to continue to fly on Lyric FM. While we are amenable to a change in schedule, we do not want to see a complete cessation of the service."

RIDICULOUS decision. Getting rid of the only good shows left to play more boring chart hits. Typical RTE.
The magic carpet is an institution in this house. Bring some common sense back to the scheduling team.

This is genuinely the only reason I turn the radio on anymore. Don't take this away from us.
