The pool is more family friendly than putting in pickle ball courts that ate also being built less than a half mile from the YMCA.

This would be a big negative for the lionville YMCA membership population. People are members for the pool and will leave the Y to overpopulate swim clubs elsewhere

The large outdoor pool offers a great area of play for kids and parents alike at the Y to enjoy nature and a summer day in the water. Destroying this pool would takeaway from many peoples memories, experiences, and accessibility to a nice pool. Not only to mention to the Y specifically, this would remove some members who pay for the pool! I don’t think a court is necessary and I’m sure space can be used inside the gym already present. Kids need to be outside!!

I agree. Keep the pool. Pickle ball courts are being developed just down the street. My family and I have enjoyed the outdoor pool at the Lionville Y

Please keep pool open! It is a travesty to eliminate this summer activity. Also, the summer camp will no longer have swim lessons

The entire pickleball thing is getting way out of hand! We lost time in the gym with our kids because they pushed us out to make more time for this stupid game!

Please keep the outdoor pool open for many families that enjoy it. I don't believe a pickle ball court will be a good replacement.

Close a beautiful pool for pickleball? What kind of knuckleheads would do that? This isn't taking care of our kids but our adults. My children will not attend the Y again if this happens. The Y is not looking out for the general public.

I love pickleball, but our community needs this outdoor pool more than PB courts. Please reconsider the environment of the LCY neighborhood by keeping the outdoor pool!

The high school next door has a bunch of tennis courts open to the public during non school hours, and those could be also used for pickle ball (by adding additional lines to tennis courts). Will pickleball even still be as popular 5 years from now? When the Y started charging separately to use the outdoor pool, that was the first mistake. I really hope they don’t make an even bigger one. Membership will drop even more.

It’s where All my kids learnt to swim and swam on swim team.
Sad to think you’d remove this for young kids.
